Harney & Sons Fine Teas: Hot Cinnamon Sunset

WHAT IS IT?

It’s delicious tea, of course! There’s nothing a pirate loves more on a cold night at sea than a hot cup of cinnamon tea. Mmmmm.

Wait…. Others pirates do that too, right….?  Right…?

Well, Bob enjoys his tea, none-the-less.  And when he travels, he gets to sample all the fine teas of the world.  Yet one of his favorites is one he can get right at home: Hot Cinnamon Sunset by Harney & Sons. As they say on their website:

“Our most popular flavored tea, this is a blend of black teas, three types of cinnamon, orange peel, and sweet cloves. It is remarkably assertive, and that is its most admired quality.”

Not only is the flavor amazing, it’s luxurious.  But the aroma alone is enough to brighten your day.  Even the sachets the tea is packaged in seems to be made from the finest silks. Bob can’t resist it’s allure.

You can always order it online directly from Harney & Sons here.  Right now a tin with 20 sachets is on sale for $5.95 (marked down from $7.95).  There are also mini-tins with 5 sachets for $3.50.  Bob has also seen the brand on sale at Barnes and Noble.  Mmmm. You need to get yourself some of this!

ALREADY HAD IT?

Then tell Bob about it! You loved it, didn’t you? Or did you hate it? Let us know!

Bone Chillers Ice Cube Tray

WHAT IS IT?

Every pirate has thought, “What this ‘ere grog needs in some ice!” But, alas, no ordinary ice is good enough for a pirate…. until now.

That’s right, that ole answer-to-all-problems, silicone, is finally going to benefit the seamcool-jewels-ice-cube-tray-2an. The Bone Chillers Ice Cube Tray is here! It’s bendy, it’s black, and it makes ice cubes shaped like bloody skulls and crossbones.  Need I say more? No.

But then, why stop at ice shaped like skulls and crossbones?  There is also a Cool Jewels Ice Cube Tray.  Why, a pirate loves loot! Why not have ice shaped like loot then? There’s no excuse not to…

WHERE DO I GET IT?

Wherever you can find it!  Bob’s was a gift, but after some searching he was able to find the Bone Chiller on Amazon.com (link) for only $6.00! Arg!  The Cool Jewels tray was also on Amazon (link) for $5.95.

One that Bob really wants is the Fossiliced Tray Set (here). Not very piratey, but awesome regardless.

Will it Blend? Total Blender

WHAT IS IT?

Bob the pirate sure loves mindless nonsense.  So he loves watching episodes of Will it Blend? on YouTube.  Will it Blend is produced by Blendtec, the makers of some pretty extreme blenders called the Total Blender!  Some of Bob’s fav episodes include:

(REMEMBER, DON’T TRY THIS AT HOME!)

Will it Blend? – Baseball

Will it Blend? – Bic Lighters

Will it Blend? – “Diamonds”

Will it Blend? – Glow Sticks

Will it Blend? – Magnets

Will it Blend? – Marbles

The videos really speak for themselves.

Obviously, Bob really really really wants a Total Blender for Christmas.  Think of the mayhem he could cause.  Melinda is skeptical about anything she sees on the internet and hasn’t bought him one.  Plus, she would rather keep Bob out of the kitchen.

WHERE DO I GET IT?

You can get it from Blendtec’s website!  (http://www.blendtec.com/Blenders.aspx)  The model used in the webvids is the Total Blender model, that you can get now for $399.95 (regular list price: $599.00).  The Total Blender comes in two colors: black and white.  There’s also the Connoisseur model, that can be build right into your countertop!  Right now, it’s going for $799.95 (regular list price: $1250.00).

DO YOU OWN IT?

If you do, we here at Bob’s Plunder wanna hear about it!  Do you love it? Hate it? Enjoy blending with it? Let us know!!

Forks, Sporks, and a Pirate’s Thanksgiving

WHAT IS IT?

Well, just so you know, Bob and Melinda had a lovely Thanksgiving with the in-laws.  Although, Bob was quite upset that his wife’s parents didn’t fix any food for his parrot, Larry.  (It should come as no surprise – every year he asks them to make mixed-seed marshmallow treats and every year they “forget”).

Bob already knows what you’re thinking: “What does a pirate use to eat Thanksgiving dinner?”

Well, my dear rogue, that is an excellence question! And here’s the answer: The Titanium Spork.  Yes, this epically swashbuckling spork is perfect for the hungry pirate.  Made with titanium, it’s sturdy and durable.  And with it’s spork abilities, it’s all the advantages of having a fork and a spoon! Amaz-a-zing!

“Hunger, beware – your end is near!”

Unfortunately, what is a pirate to do when eating spaghetti? Although the Titanium Spork is a utensil of epic proportions, spaghetti is still a challenge for any sea-hardened man.  That’s where the Calamente Noodle Fork comes into play. Gizmodo.com says it best: Good for twirling spaghetti/Unspeakable torture.  And really, that’s what matters most.  Because a pirate on the go can always find a use for a utensil that can be used to eat with, or harm others with…

WHERE DO I GET IT?

The spork you can find at ThinkGeek.com for $8.99! (exact link).  What could be better??? NOTHING.

As for the spaghetti fork… I honestly don’t know.  I’ll do some more surfing for it.
